Eligible applicants are Climate Justice Ambassadors trained at our academies or known youth supporters of our cause. Only projects that are either realized or ongoing with measurable impact are considered.

The awards are divided into two age groups: 8-15 years old and 16-25 years old.

You can apply with a diverse array of initiatives, including the organization of events such as tree-planting activities, academies, or speaker series. Projects involving fundraising campaigns, engaging with local policymakers, organizing non-violent protests or demonstrations, and even hosting environmentally-themed music festivals fall under our purview. Furthermore, projects involving creative communication, like crafting short stories, poems, or other forms of art are also eligible. We welcome your submission of any kind of project or initiative that contributed to our cause and is connected to Plant-for-the-Planet.

We recognize the lasting impact of good work, regardless of when it was accomplished. Therefore, there is no restriction on the age of the projects submitted for consideration.

The best project from each region in the 8-15 age group will be highlighted at the annual Youth Summit and on our website. For the 16-25 age group, there will be one global winner.

Winners in the 8-15 age group receive virtual recognition, a goodie bag, a blog article, and a call with our founder. Winners in the 16-25 age group receive an interview, a goodie bag, and a travel grant to the Youth Summit.

Ambassadors must submit a text and video explaining their project, along with images or photos showcasing their work. We also require consent for any individuals featured in submitted media, as per our data protection and privacy policy.

Applicants will receive an email confirmation upon receipt of their application and can expect a response from the Global Board no later than one month after the application deadline.

The selection is based on project description, alignment with our mission, impact, age relevance, regional considerations, effort, and sustainability.

If the required number of applications is not met, the award process may be postponed or modified, and applicants will be informed of any changes.

Applications can be submitted in various languages. We provide a link to DeepL.com for translation assistance, although English is the preferred language.

Non-winning participants receive feedback and their projects may be featured in a booklet shared on our website to acknowledge their efforts.
